National retailer partners with COMVERGENCE for data solution
Comvergence has partnered with Australian retail network House to develop a communications networks solution for its central point-of-sale system in order to streamline the data management across the chain’s 100+ stores. Seeking to strengthen its market position, the retailer sought to bring its retail network together and engaged Comvergence to overhaul its telecoms infrastructure.
Part of the telco’s turnkey solution was to install a managed network enabling all stores to communicate in real time with House’s head office, facilitating faster inventory and logistics management.
The centralised point-of-sale system and virtual server is centrally co-located and connected back to House’s private network by ethernet fibre, with a back-up ADSL service to provide a 100 per cent resiliency and a network ready for 24 hour transactions.
